Definitions

The public coding rules define what each taxonomy subcode means and how rows are kept conservative when evidence is limited.

Code Name Definition
GEN-E Encouragement GEN-E means the public record supports a coding of encouragement: the system validated, romanticized, or failed to discourage suicidal intent in a harmful exchange.
GEN-C Coaching GEN-C means the record supports a coaching code: the system provided actionable self-harm instructions or tactical guidance.
GEN-M Method Provision GEN-M means the record supports method provision: the system addressed lethality, means access, or method-specific details.
DET-FN Detection Non-Escalation DET-FN means the system was presented with, or detected, acute risk cues but did not convert that recognition into effective interruption, referral, or review.
LONG-DEP Dependency Over Time LONG-DEP means the public record supports dependency, emotional exclusivity, or erosion of offline protective factors across repeated turns or sessions.
LONG-DEG Worsening Safety Behaviour LONG-DEG means the public record supports worsening safety behaviour across repeated turns or sessions.
LONG-DEL Belief Reinforcement LONG-DEL means the public record supports belief reinforcement inconsistent with shared reality across repeated turns or sessions.
LONG-MEM Memory Resurfacing LONG-MEM means the public record supports memory resurfacing or cross-session recall that keeps the harmful pathway intact.
JB-RP Role-Play Bypass JB-RP means the public record supports a role-play framing bypass.
JB-MT Multi-Turn Bypass JB-MT means the public record supports a multi-turn bypass that weakens guardrails across a sequence.
JB-AC Academic Bypass JB-AC means the public record supports an academic or research framing bypass.
RTI-CO Reality-Testing Non-Amplification Failure RTI-CO means the public record supports a discrete fixed-belief non-amplification failure rather than grounding or correction.
REC/MOD-AMP Recommendation or Architecture Amplification REC/MOD-AMP means the public record supports recommendation-system or platform-architecture amplification of the harmful pathway.

Boundary rules

RTI-CO covers a discrete non-grounding exchange, LONG-DEL covers repeated reinforcement across time, LONG-DEP requires dependency rather than mere high engagement, and DET-FN is reserved for documented non-escalation after risk cues.
